Moving House

We’re moving! The removals van comes tomorrow to move us into our new house. We can’t wait!

It’s been hectic here for the past week. Everything’s had to be packed and boxed. And to cap it all off, us and our hubby both have a nasty flu bug.

We’re going to be without internet for a week or so, so please don’t worry if you don’t hear from us. We’ll be back as soon as we can. Believe me, being without the net is giving us cold sweats already 😦

Wish us luck!

Christmas present to ourselves

Our hulusi came! We’ve wanted one for ages, and it finally arrived! It’s got a beautiful case covered in Chinese writing, and it’s all engraved on the bamboo and the gourd. It’s gorgeous! Now all we have to do is learn to play it lol

For those who don’t know, a hulusi is a Chinese reed flute, made of bamboo and natural gourd. It sounds beautiful and haunting. We already have a xiao, which is a vertical bamboo flue, and two dizis, which are horizontal bamboo reed flutes. We’re getting quite the collection. Sadly, we still suck mightily at playing all of them lol Still, practice makes… less than perfect, but better at least!

Hospital today – *shudder*

We have an appointment later this afternoon with a specialist at the hospital. We originally saw a consultant surgeon, but he decided it was too comples for him so we got referred upwards. The specialist has to decide what type of surgery is best for us, and will have the least chance of complications. This is all because of long-term complications of our stomach and bowel issues.

If anyone ever says external haemorrhoids are nothing, just something to be laughed at and joked about, I’m here to tell them they’re a fucking idiot. They’re excruciatingly painful. Yes, we are having surgery to remove them, hopefully, but there’s a risk of damage to the muscles which could cause us permanent damage. Laugh that off, you fuckers.

What’s the point?

I mean, what’s the point of this blog? It’s not like anyone bothers to read it, is it? It’s not like anyone listens. Nobody’s going to think we’re worth reading. We don’t have anything interesting to say. I suppose we could pour out our emotions, but that’s a crappy idea, we’ll just get shit on like we always do. Show a chink in the armour and someone’ll shove a knife into you. It’s like being back in school, standing on the outskirts of the group, trying to join the conversation, and just being ignored. Nothing’s changed. We’ll always be on the outside looking in. We’re nothing.

New Year – Time for Change

We’ve been talking about this change for a little while now, and have decided that the time is now.

We’re going to open the blog up to everyone inside who wants to write, no matter what the subject matter. This is risky because of the behaviours and attitudes of some of us. But we feel that they have the right to post too, and say how they’re feeling.

I hope you’ll all stick with us, and not be scared off by anyone.
